David Ellis has prepared and raced his own Aston Martin V8s for a period of 34 years and achieved some 200 race wins from 15 seasons of racing. In 1994 - 1998 David stepped away from behind the wheel to design a special light weight GT car.
Due to his racing record in the past he has been approached to prepare Aston Martin engines and cars for various customers to race. Dave enjoyed so much success and reliability with his original Aston Martin V8, that it became the focal point for his new project the GT700R.
Mid Front engined, with a Hewland transaxle in the back, the car is perfectly balanced, providing exceptional handling, and phenomonal acceleration figures.
Due to the stunning appearance, the superb design, the terrific power output of the Ellis developed
32V Aston Martin engine (see dyno sheet) and also due to the lightweight construction of the car the front to rear balance being is second to none the car has achieved outstanding results and outright race wins in its first appearances on the circuit.
David Ellis has had a popular following when racing Aston Martin V8s in the past, and the support
continues to grow with the new GT700R race and road car project.
